Book Creator usage

Some time last week, I received an email as a Google for Education Certified Innovator. We were offered a free lifetime upgrade to Book Creator online. I had been exploring the use of the online tool since a colleague introduced it to me last year. In fact, I wrote about it here.

This time, I was given links to the Book Creator blog and a link for teacher resources. For example, there was a recent blog post about how to teach Mathematics using Book Creator. The article shared 13 Maths Projects by Lance Key.

The other thing that caught my eye is the making of a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure (CYOA) book with hyperlinks and embedded videos using the system. I had actually published apps in the Android Play Store that uses the idea and I have also learnt how to make CYOAs on Google Slides when I was preparing for my Google for Education level 2 certification.

However, this book done up by a teacher with her students is quite impressive to me. I was intrigued by the effort and creativity required to come up with a deliverable such as this. Maybe you can try it out too and then come up with something similar with your students.

I am grateful to Google for the offers that come with the Google for Innovator status and I hope to be able to use it for the benefit of more students within my range of influence or reach.
