Thinking about Development, Evaluation and Progression

Lately, I read this piece about career progression (see image above) and it got me thinking a bit more about development and evaluation too as it may be linked to what I will be doing next after this MOE HQ stint. I started to think about attitude, aptitude and altitude as I recalled Zig Ziglar's quote:

"It's your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude."

Having been in NIE, I am familiar with their Values, Skills and Knowledge (VSK) model but with some online searches, I came across KASH the 4 factors of learning and OECD's KVAS for Global competence, both permutations of similar ideas.

Looking deeper, I saw what HR could potentially look for in potential hires and what they can aim to train in them as well. There was also the infographic on the difference between aptitude and attitude as I thought about how it could be used for evaluation when thinking about students' or youth development. Then, I decided to look for matrices or a matrix that could be useful to map out where different profiles of youth may be and I found some will vs skill charts, potential vs performance charts and aptitude vs attitude ones which I think will be handy for the future.
