Last week, my section celebrated Teachers' Day and two of the teams I led achieved success in certain aspects. My InteresThing team got guidance and a general go-ahead to scale up our idea for Student-initiated Learning. Furthermore, my Brain Boost Time (BBT) team secured Innergy Gold this year (after the hectic preparation for the nomination form and presentation/pitch to several specialists a few months back).
What is great is that two Classroom of the Future (CotF) ideas won Gold and another won Silver and the leads of the teams include an Assistant Director and a Lead Specialist who have provided me and my teams much guidance throughout my CotF, or in fact, my life in Educational Technology Division or MOE HQ.
In the other submission where I tagged along my mentor's nomination of our TagUI Robotic Process Automation (RPA) explorations, we managed to clinch a Bronze. Perhaps the use cases are not wide enough beyond that from our division or maybe the idea is still ahead of its time.
"In promoting the sharing of ideas, your Innergy application form may be shared with staff from MOE HQ, Schools and Statutory Boards. ...
Winners may also be invited to showcase/present their projects at appropriate platforms, e.g. Teacher’s Conference and ExCEL Fest, Zonal Sharings, etc. Selected teams may also be nominated for the Public Sector Transformation (PST) Awards. ODPB will notify these nominees and seek their inputs on the nomination form separately. All 2022 School winning projects will be posted on Innovation Adoption Platform portal page from Jan 2023 onwards."
Besides the recognition, the bonus incentive I just learned of are the monetary awards. I hope to share the prize money with the team and maybe even see if part of that money could be used to boost the use of Brain Boost Time or TagUI in the fraternity in the future.
